Feta cheese is the good cheese. I’ll put it on salads, pitas, eggs, basically anything…besides my cereal. It’s crumbly, salty, and just so good paired with a crunchy cucumber salad or roasted shrimp with tomatoes. Dear Feta, I love you.
When I saw the recipe for this dip, I knew I had to make it. With only a few ingredients and as a relatively better-for-you alternative to buffalo chicken dip, this feta dip will be a hit at your next party.
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Green onions
- Feta cheese
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. basil leaves
Note: There are no exact measurements for this recipe, because it all depends on how big of a group you are making this for. If you’re making for a large group–go for a larger serving dish and if you’re making for a few, a plate will do. From there just use as much tomato, green onion, and feta to cover the plate. You can also use pre-bottled Greek seasoning if that’s what you have on hand.
1. Pour the extra-virgin olive oil on your serving dish covering the whole area.
2. Dice your tomatoes and green onion. Scatter them on top of the olive oil.
3. Next top with the feta cheese and spices.
4. Mix together and serve with toasted pita chips or baguette slices.
